  • What if I have trouble getting my Aligners to fit?
    It can be a challenge for some people to get clear aligners onto the back teeth, especially when they are new to wearing them. It may take some practice and getting used to.   • What’s next when I complete my treatment?
    After completing your treatment with clear aligners, it is important to wear retainers to maintain the new position of your teeth. For the first six months, you should wear your retainers for 20-22 hours each day. After that, you can switch to wearing them only at night as directed by our experts. If you do not wear your retainers as prescribed, your teeth may shift back to their original position.
  • Does the process hurt?
    Clear aligners apply precise force on the teeth to move them into the desired position, which can cause minor discomfort at the start of treatment. This is normal and should subside within a few days as the mouth adjusts to the aligners. Once you become accustomed to wearing the aligners, they should not be painful.
  • How do I contact my dentist during the aligner treatment?
    Your assigned Money Smile Member will be your main point of contact throughout your clear aligner treatment. If you have any concerns, you can contact them, and they will forward your message to the dentist assigned to your treatment. The Money Smile Member will then follow up with a response from the dentist.
  • How long does it take to receive my Aligners?
    After receiving workable teeth impressions, a smile projection will be sent to you within approximately two weeks. Once you approve the projection and make payment for the clear aligners, they will be shipped to you within an additional three weeks. In total, the process typically takes about five weeks, unless there are any unforeseen circumstances.
  • How long does it take to get my Smile Projection?
    After receiving your teeth impressions, it typically takes 12-14 business days to create a smile projection for you.
  • What if my Impression tray does not fit?
    If the impression tray provided by our care team does not fit properly, please let us know right away, and we will send you new trays. To ensure a good fit, you can test the tray by placing it over your teeth without any impression material. The tray should fit comfortably without being too loose or too tight, and it should not dig into your gums. Make sure that your back molars also fit properly in the tray.
  • What is a Smile Projection?
    The smile projection is a 3D treatment plan created by our technical team, showing the position of your teeth before and after treatment with clear aligners. This projection is sent to you for approval before the aligners are fabricated. If you are satisfied with the proposed plan, you can proceed with treatment. If you have any concerns or would like to request modifications, you can do so before fabrication begins.
  • How soon can I get the impression kit?
    The impression kit will be shipped to you within 3-4 business days after your purchase.
  • What if I lost a particular set of Aligners/ What if I have lost my Aligners?
    If you lose your clear aligner, please contact a Money Smile member as soon as possible.
  • What is Refund Policy?
    At Money Smile, we strive to make the process of purchasing clear aligners as convenient and stress-free as possible for our customers. If, after receiving your teeth impressions, our team of experts determines that you are not a good candidate for aligner treatment, we will promptly issue a full refund. Our policies are designed to be customer-friendly.
  • Can I get Aligners for just Upper or Lower Teeth, instead of both?
    Yes, you can choose to straighten only the top or bottom arch with clear aligners, but we will need impressions of both arches. Our experienced team of experts will evaluate your bite to ensure it is well-aligned at the end of treatment, and the price will be the same regardless of whether you are treating one arch or both.
  • If I need a Bridge or Crown do I get it done before or after the Aligner treatment?
    Whether or not you get a bridge or crown after completing clear aligner treatment is up to you, but we recommend it. If you already have a bridge in place when you start aligner treatment, we will need an X-ray to identify the bridge and design the treatment accordingly. It is important to note that aligners cannot move a bridge.
  • What is the Age requirement?
    Clear aligner treatment is typically suitable for people aged 13 and up, as well as those aged 50-60. If you are in either of these age ranges, it may be a good option for you.
  • What is an Impression Kit?
    An impression kit is used to take detailed molds of your upper and lower teeth in order to create a treatment plan. The kit includes a cheek retractor, impression trays and material, practice putty, a prepaid shipping label, and an impression guide.
  • Can I get Aligners if I have missing teeth?
    Yes, it is still possible to get clear aligner treatment if you have one or more missing teeth. In this case, we can place a pontic (artificial tooth) where the missing tooth is located. You will also need to get a colored coating on your aligner to cover the missing tooth space, so there are no visible gaps during treatment
  • Can I get Aligners if I have Wisdom Teeth?
    Yes, you can get clear aligners, but we recommend consulting with your dentist first. If your dentist advises that you do not need to remove them, you can proceed with treatment.
  • How long do I have to wait to use the Aligners after I have had a Dental Implant?
    Typically, you can begin clear aligner treatment about three months after getting an implant. However, we recommend consulting with your dentist before starting treatment to ensure it is appropriate in your specific case.

  • Will I have a lisp with my Aligners?
    While it is common to experience some lisping at the beginning of treatment with clear aligners, this should dissipate within a few days as the mouth becomes accustomed to them.
  • Are Aligners safe/ recommended during Pregnancy?
